Jeroen Henstra voltooide in 1994 de Rietveld Academie, afdeling audio visueel, waar hij zich vooral bezig hield met performances, video- en actieve installaties. Na zijn studie heeft Jeroen verschillende autonome objecten en installaties gerealiseerd waarin m.b.v. bewegende lichtbronnen, projecties en mechanica levende beelden ontstonden. Daarnaast is Jeroen zich gaan richten op meer toegepaste ontwerpen en uitvoering van decor, rekwisieten en belichting voor dans- en theaterproducties.<\/p>\n

Eind jaren \u201890 is hij zich gaan specialiseren in speciale effecten, welke uiteenlopen van pyrotechniek tot mechanische objecten, in opdracht dan wel autonoom. Hij realiseerde verschillende technische ontwerpen en uitvoeringen van objecten en installaties van kunstenaars, maar ook enkele lichtontwerpen voor restaurants en caf\u00e9s. De afgelopen 10 jaar werkte Jeroen met diverse theatergroepen, waaronder Vis a Vis, Dogtroep , Warner en consorten en verschillende kleinere ad hoc producties.<\/p>\n

Naast het ontwerpen en bouwen verzorgde Jeroen de technische productie voor verschillende grootschalige projecten. Dit deed hij onder andere voor de laatste voorstelling van Dogtroep en diverse festivals zoals het Robodock festival, Amsterdam light festival, Oerol en het World Wide Video festival.<\/p>\n
